47214 307th Street
Beresford, SD 57004

Builder: Hinners Organ Co., (1912).
Eugene Doutt electrical updates in 1972.
Manuals: 2
Ranks: 14
Action: Electric action (now)

Notes: In the spring of 1911, lightening struck the steeple of the original church building.

In October of 1911, lightening struck again and the original church building burned to the ground. Nothing is known of any instrument in this original 19th-century building.

The present church building was erected in 1912. A Hinners pipe organ was installed at the cost of $1,400. It was a tracker and was orignally pumped by hand. Later this was electrified (ed note: this appears to be new unit chests). In 1972, the congregation celebrated 100 years. They installed a new organ console and the action of the keys was now electrified. No new stops were added. This work was done by Eugene Doutt of Watertown, SD.

Information from the Organ Historical Society and Marie Lykken of the church.
